Gippsland Floods Response
The Gippsland Tourism Response & Recovery Group (GTRRG) has been convened by Gippsland Tourism and the Gippsland Local Government Tourism Managers Network to assist flood-affected communities and their businesses in recovering from the impact of the floods.
The GTRRG has representation from Local Government, Local Tourism Associations and the Tourism Industry. It will lead a coordinated and comprehensive response to the impact of the floods on tourism in the region.
The GTRRG has a responsibility to communicate the impact on the region in a way that supports optimal recovery.
This Communications Plan provides the blueprint for the GTRRG to effectively promote the benefits of visiting Gippsland after the floods.
It is a living document that will be used as the guide for GTRRG activities in conjunction with Tourism Victoria’s Crisis Communications Handbook for regional and local tourism (the big red book).
