The Hon. Tim Holding, Minister for Tourism, launched the much anticipated Inspired By Gippsland Food and Wine Guide at Brandy Creek View Café & Winery in Drouin in July. The 26-page Guide highlights food and wine producers from across the region and serves to promote Gippsland as a Food and Wine destination. The guide will be distributed to Visitor Information Centres and local food and wine producers with an interest in tourism. There are also plans for a magazine based distribution. Please contact your local Visitor Information Centre for copies of the guide.

Gippsland Inspired – A Celebration of Food & Wine
Following on from the success of the inaugural event in 2007, Destination Gippsland will again be co-ordinating the umbrella marketing for this initiative in 2008 to be held in mid Autumn (February / March). During this time, Gippsland will come alive with a series of events across the region showcasing the best food and wine produce the region has to offer. Incorporating the Inverloch Food & Wine Festival, Harvest of Gippsland, A Palate of Passions Festival, Feast on East and many more, this is taste sensation not to be missed. Gippsland Food & Wine Tourism Networking
Innovation Workshop
The inaugural Gippsland Food and Wine Tourism Networking Forum was held on Tuesday 7th August in Drouin East. The aim of the workshop was to engage the tourism industry in a discussion around the future of Food and Wine Tourism in Gippsland. As Gippsland builds its reputation as inspirational nature based tourism destination, we want to ensure that local food and wine producers have the opportunity to participate in and benefit from the 'Inspired By Gippsland' Campaign.
