Cooperative MarketingOne of the primary functions of Destination Gippsland is to encourage cooperative marketing. Destination Gippsland has a key role in bringing the tourism industry together to help promote the region in partnership with Tourism Victoria and Gippsland’s local governments. By working together we will achieve efficiencies of scale and send a united message about what a great place Gippsland is to visit. Destination Gippsland is undergoing its Cooperative Marketing Campaign 2009-2010. The marketing campaign takes on a new direction focusing on seasonal themed and activities. The campaign highlights the product strengths in the region, addresses low season issues and improves dispersal by marketing touring routes, itineraries and packages. The seasonal campaign will focus on the following: Winter - Mt Baw Baw, Alpine and Sub Alpine villages, touring routes and regions associated with winter activity. Autumn - Highlighting Gippsland's great food and wine, events and culture. Summer - Gippsland's lakes and waterways will be the focus during summer. The strategy will include building visitation during the shoulder periods of November and Febuary. Spring - Is the time to enjoy Gippsland and its natural attractions. The key product will be Wilsons Promontory. The campaigns are funded through State government bushfire funding as well as direct funding from Destination Gippsland. Each campaign will focus on advertising, public relations, promotions and branding, with an annual campaign budget in excess of $400 000. Bookings may be made by downloading the Cooperative Marketing Campaign Booking Form and returning to Destination Gippsland.
