Cooperative Marketing Campaign 2011-12

One of the primary functions of Destination Gippsland is to encourage cooperative marketing. Destination Gippsland has a key role in bringing the tourism industry together to help promote the region in partnership with Tourism Victoria and Gippsland’s local governments. By working together we will achieve efficiencies of scale and send a united message about what a great place Gippsland is to visit.
The campaign offers tourism associations, key stakeholders and operators subsidised marketing opportunities. Building on the success of the seasonal campaigns running over 2010-11, this will again be a key feature of the marketing activity. We have extended oportunties this year to include:
• Three separate Villages of Victoria campaign activities - note eligibility has been opened up and includes opportunities for all areas of Gippsland • International Marketing Program - providing operators an affordable option in which to participate in international trade marketing • New edition of the Gippsland Official Touring Map – arguably the most popular piece of collateral for visitors produced by the region
The campaign will be sold through Regional and Local Tourism Associations (RTAs). Operators are encouraged to contact their RTA (details below) for further information.
