Inverloch - on the flip! March 2010
Inverloch is a bustling seaside village over Easter and this year there will be action aplenty with the Moomba Waterski Show Team coming to perform.

The talented team will be performing their dizzying display of aerial jumps, high speed whirls and impressive pyramids with daily shows on Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday. The spectacular will entertain all ages with proceeds going to charity. Read More.

Autumn Campaign Launch, February 2010
An inspiring array of events with a focus on food and wine leads Destination Gippsland’s latest seasonal marketing campaign. The peak tourism body launched the campaign this week marketing the regional tourism events calendar for February and March.

Over $200 000 has been spent in marketing by Destination Gippsland aiming at the Melbourne based consumer. Destination Gippsland has received support for the campaign from bushfire funding as well as regional tourism associations, local councils and Gippsland tourism operators. Read more.

Inspiring win for Destination Gippsland at the 2009 Victorian Tourism Awards, November 2009

Destination Gippsland, the peak tourism body for Gippsland has won the Tourism Marketing award at the Victorian Tourism Awards held last night. The award recognised excellence in marketing the Gippsland region through the “Inspired by Gippsland” brand. Destination Gippsland will go on to represent Victoria at the 2009 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards to be held in Hobart on 26 February 2010. Read more.

Cooking up a storm at the Maffra Show, October 2009

The Maffra Show is delighted to have Masterchef finalist, Sam Ciaravolo as a judge this year. He will judge the Dessert for One competition and the Iron Chefs Maffra Cookoff. Ciaravolo will go head-to-head and compete against the winner in a Mystery-Box Cookoff. He will also conduct a pastry-making class with teams of local school children, no doubt proving to be messy as well as tasty. Read more.
